How to Log in to Machakos University Students Portal online, for Registration, E-Learning, Hostel Booking, Fees, Courses and Exam Results

Universities have Students Portals that enable students to get many services online at their convenience. To access the Student Portal, one must be a duly registered student. Once admitted to university, a student is given the Students Portal Log in credentials; Registration Numbers and Password.To Log onto the Machakos University Students Portal, use the link; https://portal.mksu.ac.ke/Here is a list of some of the common services that students get in the Students Portal, Once Logged in:
  • Financials that include information on:

    •  Print Statement
    •  Proforma Invoice
    •  Fees Structure
    •  Receipts
  • Academics tab providing information and services on: 1. Time Table 2. Registration for Units 3. List of Registered Units 4. List of Attempted Unit(s) 5. Exam Card 6. Provisional Results 7. Provisional Results / Year
  • Hostel Booking; Here you can reserve a room even when you are on recess.
  • Password Resetting; In case you forget your Log in Password, you can easily reset it by using this tab.

MACHAKOS UNIVERSITY EDUCATION COURSES

Machakos university offers a wide range of education courses in its Faculty of Education and other Courses in its various Schools.Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in

  • (Offered through part-time, evening and weekend modes)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A holder of a Master degree from a recognized University in areas of specialization relevant to disciplines in the school of Education
  • Must have covered at-least five (5) Units at M.Ed level in area of specialization with B and above or equivalent grade
  • Must show ability to undertake academic research in the areas of specialization.

  • Curriculum Studies
  • Educational Communication & Information Technology.
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Educational Psychology
(Offered through part-time, evening and weekend modes)MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHolders of Bachelor’s Degree with 2nd Class Honor’s (Upper Division) from a recognized institution.Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they have Grade C and above in units relevant to their specialization.Bachelor of Education(Arts)Minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE OR equivalent with at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE OR equivalent with a Diploma in Education and at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects.Bachelor of Education(Science)       Minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent with at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects and C+ (plus) in Mathematics OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in Education and at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects.Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood EducationMinimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in ECDE or its equivalent with an overall pass of credit or distinction.Bachelor of Education in Special Needs EducationMinimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent with at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE or equivalent with a Diploma in Education OR Special Education and at least C + (plus) in two teaching subjects.Postgraduate Diploma in Education  Bachelor Degree or its equivalent from recognized institutionDiploma in Education (Science)
  • KCSE Mean Grade of C+ with at least C+ in two teaching Subject
  • And at least C- (Minus) in Mathematics
Diploma in Early Childhood Development EducationKCSE Mean Grade of C (Plain) OR Division III at KCE OR Mean Grade C-(Minus) or an Early Childhood Studies Certificate from a recognized Institution.Diploma in Education (Arts)
  • KCSE Mean Grade of C+ with at least C+ in two teaching Subject
  • And at least D+ (Plus) in Mathematics
Bachelor of Education Course Requirements: Mean grade C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects, 2 principal passes at A’Level and 1 subsidiary in relevant subjects, Diploma in Education (May be exempted in relevant units). P1 teachers must have scored C+ at KCSE to qualify.

  4. CLUSTER SUBJECT 4 KIS / BIO / PHY / CHE / BIO / GSC / HSC / ARD / AGR / WW / MW / BC / PM / ECT / DRD / AVT / CMP / FRE / GER / ARB / KSL / MUC / BST NOTE: A subject may only be considered ONCE in this section
MINIMUM SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS
  1. SUBJECT 1: ENG; C
  2. SUBJECT 2: MAT A / MAT B; C
  3. SUBJECT 3: BIO / PHY / CHE / PSC / BSC / BIO / GSC: C+
Bachelor of Education(Arts) Admission Requirements
  1. Mean grade C+ (plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects chosen,
  2. 2 Principal passes at A’Leveland1 Subsidiary in relevant subjects,
  3. Diploma in Education.
  4. P1teachers must have scored a mean grade of C+ at KCSE with at least C+ in two teaching subjects chosen.
Bachelor of Education(Science) Admission Requirements
  1. Mean grade of C+(Plus) at KCSE with at least C (Plain) in Mathematics and C+ in each of the two teaching subjects or 2 Principal passes and 1 Subsidiary pass at A’ Level in Mathematics,
  2. Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Diploma in Education.
