New TPAD 2 Lesson Attendance Summary Sheet: Free Form Download

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, expects tutors to teach a minimum of twenty seven (27) lessons per week. This, though, depends on individual school’s Curriculum Based Establishment. Consequently, different teachers plying their trade in various schools have varied numbers of lessons per week. This is also due to variations in staffing at different learning institutions. A teacher (secondary school level) at the same time is expected to teach two subjects; expect those handling subjects like English.

The teachers are appraised under the Career Progression Guidelines (CPG) by using the Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) tool. The Commission has developed a lesson attendance monitoring tool referred to as ‘TPAD Lesson Attendance Summary Sheet’. This form is to be filled weekly by the teacher’s appraiser.

Many 2020 form ones yet to report to school

Close to 416,620 form ones are yet to report to secondary schools. This is according to the latest data from the Ministry of Education. Nyamira County leads with the highest percentage of reported form ones; standing at 72.05%. Tana River, on the other hand, has the lowest percentage of reported students.

The latest data from the Ministry will have the government worried as the low numbers will derail its 100 percent transition drive. The local administration has been instructed to beef up the search for learners who may have not reported to school. The Ministry was forced to push the form nes’ reporting deadline to Friday January 27, 2020.

20 Boarding schools to be identified, equipped per county for Corona patients as Positive cases soar

The Kenyan Government has directed the ministry of education to work with all county governments to identify at least 20 boarding schools per county to be prepared for use as health facilities as part of Covid-19 preparedness. The facilities are to be well equipped, complete with all necessary facilities to handle COVID19 patients. This has been revealed by the Deputy President, Dr. William Ruto.

“The health ministry will work with governors to ensure it done as quickly as Possible,” says the DP.

“This pandemic poses an existential threat therefore every effort counts. This is no time for blame game. Let’s pull TOGETHER,” added the DP.

This comes even as the Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced 8 new cases of coronavirus disease on Monday. Then new development now brings the total number of those who have tested positive of COVID-19 in the country to 50.

“In the last twenty-four hours, we have tested 172 samples. Out of this number a total of Eighty Four (84) samples from quarantined guests have been analyzed,” reported the CS.

The CS warned Kenyans about fake news being circulated on a possibility of existence of a vaccine to COVID19. “There is a lot of information circulating about Coronavirus, it’s important to know what’s true and what’s not. We appeal to all Kenyans to embrace this fight against coronavirus as their own and avoid misinformation. Don’t believe the myth that a vaccine for COVID-19 is available,” warned the CS.

COVID-19 vaccine fact-sheet.

CS Kagwe has at the same time directed motor Cycle operators, commonly known as BodaBoda) to only carry one passenger so as to curtail spread of the virus. “Most of the new infections are coming from the community and all boda boda operators are advised only carry one passenger henceforth,” he ordered.

In other measures, Employers have now been directed to release all workers by 4pm without slashing their salaries. This is in order for the workers to operate within the set curfew times. The Council of governors are also to have joint communique with interior ministry on other raft of measures.

Nairobi continues to lead with cases of Coronavirus patients which now stand at 34. While, Kilifi and Mombasa have recorded 6 and 3 cases; respectively. Kwale and Kitui have one case each.

Of the 50 confirmed cases, 26 are Males while 24 are Female.

Technical University of Kenya (TUK) is happy to inform the first year (New) students who have been selected to join the University in the various degree programmes that they can now get access to their Letters of admission to the university. Congratulations for getting admission at University after your successful application. Students joining university are selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KCCPS. The students are selected after sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, examination and getting the minimum University entry requirement. The KCSE students must first apply to KUCCPS to be selected to preferred programmes. The students can apply at school level or apply individually during the first and second revision windows.

Once the applications are closed, KUCCPS then places the KCSE students in preferred courses depending on the student’s score, number of available vacancies against applicants among other selection criteria. In not satisfied with the University that you have been selected to join then you can apply for Inter-Institution Transfer.

The placement body then announces the selection results and students can access the admission lists and download their admission letters.

Moi Girls High School, Vokoli, was established in 1982. Until 2006, the girls in short-sleeved, sky-blue blouses and maroon skirts, were guided by the motto ‘While we live we grow’ before it was changed to ‘In excellence we grow’.

Times changed, but traditions, like cutting finger and toe nails every weekend, remained, including doing hair every month since hairdressers are invited for the job.

Personal grooming was done before 5am daily, besides free Sundays afternoons for basking in the sun. The school is currently headed by Principal Rose Serde Chepteng’et.
