REPORT BY THE ETHICS AND ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION [EACC] ON COMPLIANCE WITH INTEGRITY REQUIREMENTS BY ASPIRANTS SEEKING ELECTIVE POSITIONS IN THE GENERAL ELECTION OF 9TH AUGUST, 2022
The information herein is deemed relevant for consideration by IEBC in determination of eligibility for registration of the following Aspirants seeking election for the following positions, in the August 2022 General Election.

3.MWANGI WA IRIA9949560PRESIDENTUSAWA KWA WOTEThe Commission received and investigated allegations of obstructing EACC investigators and destruction of evidence when executing a search warrant. Investigations established that the Aspirant was culpable. However, the aspirant has not taken plea due to a stay order in Muranga High Court Petition No.2 of 2016. The matter is pending in court.
The Commission has also instituted a suit for recovery of Kshs. 542 million being proceeds of corruption against the aspirant in ACEC Civil Suit No. E001 of 2022. The matter is pending in court.
