The university offers a wide range of education courses in its Faculty of Education.Mode of StudyThe University offers three modes of study in Chuka Campus and Embu Town Campus:
- Fulltime – in September, January and May Semesters
- School Based – in April, August and December sessions
- Evening/weekend – in September, January and May Semesters
- Open and Distance learning-“NEW”
Bachelor of Education Course Requirements:- Mean grade C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects,
- 2 principal passes at A’Level and 1 subsidiary in relevant subjects,
- Diploma in Education (May be exempted in relevant units).
- P1 teachers must have scored C+ at KCSE to qualify.

Bachelor of Education(Arts) Admission Requirements- Mean grade C+ (plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects chosen,
- 2 Principal passes at A’Leveland1 Subsidiary in relevant subjects,
- Diploma in Education.
- P1teachers must have scored a mean grade of C+ at KCSE with at least C+ in two teaching subjects chosen.
Bachelor of Education(Science) Admission Requirements- Mean grade of C+(Plus) at KCSE with at least C (Plain) in Mathematics and C+ in each of the two teaching subjects or 2 Principal passes and 1 Subsidiary pass at A’ Level in Mathematics,
- Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Diploma in Education.

a) Application Procedure
- Non-refundable Application Fee (Kshs 3,000 for PhD. Programmes, KShs 2,000 for Masters Degree & Diploma, Kshs 1,000 for Certificate Courses)
- Complete and signed application form Download application form here
- Originals & a copy of all Transcripts, Diplomas or Certificates (All originals, where necessary, will be returned)
- One recent passport size photograph (write your name on reverse side)
- Copy of the National Identity Card or Birth Certificate
- Research Concept paper (PhD. Only)

latest two weeks prior to the commencement dates given for the programmes.c) One Academic Year is equivalent to 2 semesters for full-time or 3 blocks for school-based mode.d) Diploma holders may take a shorter period to complete a Bachelors degree after credit transfer.e) Preferred Campus should be indicated on the application form.
