Procedure of Becoming a Member

To become a member one needs to fill in a membership application form which is readily available on the website, at the Headquarters and every Society branch countrywide. Minimum deposit contribution is Ksh. 1000.

History

In 1966, Delmonte (K) company employees resolved to form a Sacco to empower them financially. This Sacco came to be known as Kenya Canners Sacco. They came together out of a common need for financial growth. Through the years, the Sacco has provided financial services to its members which has seen them grow in many ways. Since then, the Sacco has grown to have over 10,000 members.

In 2016, the Sacco opened up its doors to the public so that they can enjoy the same growth as it’s members had and continue to have. Today it is known as Azima sacco.

FOSA Loans

    • Azima loan

      One must be drawing salary through Fosa and it takes 1 month to repay.

    • Pineapple loan

      One must be drawing salary through Fosa and it takes a maximum of 24 months to repay

    • Salary advance

      One must be drawing salary through Fosa and it takes a maximum of 6 months to repay

    • Super loan

      One must be drawing salary through Fosa and it takes a maximum of 36 months to repa

  • Okoa mwezi

    One must be drawing salary through Fosa and it takes a maximum of 1 month to repay

BOSA Loans

    • Jijenge loan

      One must have cleared all the outstanding loan balances to be eligible for qualification. It takes a maximum period of 78 months to repay.

    • Jipange loan

      This loan is requires a minimum of 1 million in deposits. It has a repayment period of 84 months with an an interest rate of 0.84% per month on reducing balance.

    • Jahazi Loan

      This Loan is meant to Buyout loans from other Financial Institutions. It takes a maximum period of 84 months to repay.

    • Normal loan

      One must have cleared all the outstanding loan balances to be eligible for qualification. It takes a maximum period of 72 months to repay.

    • Normal loan B

      This loan is designed for our members in the business fraternity . It takes a maximum period of 48 months to repay, interest in on reducing balance.

    • Masomo loan

      Makes education a reality to your children, The loan is also available to members who want to finance their own education.
      The maximum repayment period is 18 months

  • Emergency loan

    One can be granted an emergency loan when having an outstanding balance of the same. It takes a maximum period of 12 months to repay.

Other Benefits Include

  • Dividends:

    One is entitled for payment of dividends out of his/her back office and front office shares on the percentage that is declared at the closure of the Sacco’s financial year. The percentage rate keeps on changing with the prevailing economic status.

  • Mobile Banking:

    This is a convenient way of members to access their accounts any where any time. Members can access the following services: Cash withdrawal, inquire Balance, Deposit cash into their account, purchase Airtime, New PIN, get Mini-Statement, Stop ATM, Transfer of funds, inquire shares balance and payment, loan balance inquire and payment, get notification when the salary and loan have been credited into their account.

  • Burial assistance:

    Incase of demise of a member the family is assisted by the Society with funeral cash to organize for the burial.

  • POS Terminals: These will create extra revenue to the Sacco as a result of signing for agency banking.

Pesa Plus (Mobile Banking)

PESA PLUS is a mobile banking system that enables members to transfer money to and from FOSA, send enquiries, credit applications and other banking transactions through their mobile phones.

(i).USSD MENU(Unstructured Supplementary Service Data)

Dial *477# and choose the required service from the onscreen menu that appears.Based on the type of service,you may be prompted for more input e.g amount for cash withdrawal,New Pin for PIN change or A/C no. for inter-account transfers, Enter your PIN.

(ii). M-PESA Pay-bill

On the M-PESA menu on your phone, select Pay-bill ,and enter Business number; 531231
, enter account number (Your ID Number),enter the amount required and then your M-PESA PIN
