The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KUCCPS,has warned of online scammers who have created fake Facebooks accounts with an intention of conning users. Here is the communique from KUCCPS;
‘Our attention has been drawn to Facebook pages fraudulently using the name Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) and purporting to offer advice on matters relating to student placement. Some of them have provided mobile phone numbers and are asking students to send money.
KUCCPS would like to state that it is not receiving any application currently and does not ask applicants to send money to individuals through any mobile phone lines. Therefore, the online platforms or social media pages are FAKE and FRAUDULENT!
Further, be advised that KUCCPS announces its programmes and activities through the mainstream mass media, its website www.kuccps.ac.ke and official Facebook and Twitter handles; The.Placement.Service (Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service) and @KUCCPS_Official, respectively.
