THE 2019 KISUMU NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY CONTEST AND EXAM TALK; POWERED BY LONGHORN.

This year’s Kisumu Moran Geography Contest will be held on Sunday 26th May, 2019, at Kisumu Boys High School as from 8.00 a.m.

Important information, to kindly note;

You are requested to:
1). Carry a set of eight to ten (10) students for Senior Entry and another set of eight to ten students for the Junior Entry
2). Senior entry will cover both paper one and two topics, Junior entry will cover form one to two and the first three topics of form three (see attached topics to be covered)
3). You can enter as many sets as you wish in each category.
4). For each set you will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of
Kshs.2,000 (two thousand) only.
5). Carry packed lunch for the day.
6). Each school will be required to carry at least one teacher to participate in the marking exercise.
7). Cary Taita Hills map for each student participating in the contest.
8). All students are required to revise thoroughly for the contest. Form fours will register for Seniors while form threes can be registered for Junion

Please note that;
i). Trophies, certificates, textbooks, atlas and school fees vouchers of 20,000/- (for the best student overall) will be awarded to the winning students and schools.
(ii). All students, teachers and schools will be given certificate of participation.
(iii). Teachers will be taken through the latest marking and teaching techniques and outlawed terminologies in Geography paper 2; by the Chief of Geography paper 2.
(iv). Students will also be facilitated on answering techniques by Senior Examiners in paper one and two.
(v). CARRY A TYPED E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR TRANSMISSION OF RESULTS.
(vi). ALSO, CARRY SOME MONEY FOR PURCHASE OF REVISION BOOKS.

4). Desert Landforms.
5). Rivers.
6). Industries.
7). Agriculture

JUNIOR CATEGORY

1). Map work. (Taita map)
2). Internal Land Forming Process.
3). Earth and Solar System
4). Climate
5). Weathering/Mass Wasting.
6). Forestry.
