Situated about three kilometers on the northern side of Nairobi city, Kenya, KMTC headquarters and the main campus, Nairobi, stand on a 20-acre piece of land, opposite Kenyatta National Hospital, along Old Mbagathi Road.
With over 34,000 students attending more than 70 medical courses, KMTC makes the biggest single contribution to the health sector in Kenya and is currently producing more than 8000 graduates every year for both the Kenyan public and private health sectors, accounting for more than 80 percent of the hospitals’ workforce.
The institution boasts of a highly qualified and experienced teaching and administrative staff. It has a strength of over 1,900 members of staff.
The national distribution of the College is its biggest uniqueness. With 65 constituent colleges spread throughout the country as far as Lodwar and Garissa, Loitoktok and Kisumu, the impact of the College in improving healthcare is felt in all parts of the country.

At KMTC, we offer a wide range of courses, from certificate to diploma to higher diploma, which reflects the institution’s responsiveness to the needs of our nation.
Entry Requirements:
To join KMTC to pursue a certificate course, you must have a minimum of C- with specific qualifications in cluster subjects in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations. For diploma programmes, you must have attained a minimum of C with specific qualifications in cluster subjects. Upgrading courses require that a candidate has a certificate in a respective field while for higher diploma programmes, candidates must have attained a diploma course as per the following guidelines.

To that end, the role of the Admissions and Records Office is to recruit, admit, and encourage enrolment of applicants who are spiritually mature, academically excellent, accomplished in extra-curricular endeavors, and broadly diverse through individualized review and professional judgment.
Applications:
All applications are ONLINE from the application portal on this website www.kmtc.ac.ke. The prospective candidates apply for admission into Courses for each academic year for Regular or Parallel Category. The Regular category have subsidized fee with optional accommodation but no choice for Campus while the parallel category have non subsidized fee, no accommodation option but have option for Campuses choice in more than Forty one (65) campuses situated in different parts of the country depending on the courses.
Procedure:
Prospective candidates are expected to visit the applicants’ portal, read the advertisement to know the various courses and their specific entry requirements.
Candidates interested in making an application are advised to READ the application guidelines (preservice/Inservice) available on the application portal
Candidates are advised to follow the steps carefully given in the application guideline to the end to be sure of application success.

Students are encouraged to buy their own textbooks, and specific course book lists are usually provided as an admission package to assist in purchasing books.

All special medical equipment in each course i.e. Stethoscopes etc are the responsibility of the student.

Kenya’s Women volleyball team, the Malkia strikers, were unable to repeat yesterday’s heroics as they lost by straight sets to Serbia in their second pool D match at the FIVB Women’s World Championship on Sunday night. The Malkia strikers went down 3-0 (25-16, 25-9, 25-8) in a match played at Hamamatsu, Japan.
A magnificent performance by Mercy Moim, yesterday, led Kenya to a historic straight sets victory (25-23, 25-22, 25-21) over Kazakhstan in Pool D at the FIVB Women’s World Championship. In today’s match Jovana Stevanovic was a thorn in the flesh to the Kenyans as she steared Serbia to the victory with nine points. Brankica Mihajlovic had eight points and Stefana Veljkovic seven for Serbia.
The ever green Mercy Moim led Kenya with seven points in the loss. Kenya played hard, but was unable to muster the same level they displayed in Saturday’s historic victory over Kazakhstan, their first ever at a World Championship. The match did not have many long rallies, with many points over in a flash. Kenya was unable to contend with Serbia’s block.
The first set featured poor serving by both teams. Time and again serves flew long or straight into the net. Serbia took charge and pulled ahead 16-10 at the second Team Time Out on a spike by Milena Rasic and rolled to grab the set 25-16. The higher-ranked Serbs finally got into a rhythm and came together.
Serbia again set the pace in the second set, moving out to an 8-4 lead at the first Team Time Out following a service ace by Tijana Malesevic. Serbia’s wing spikers blasted away at the Kenya defense, which was unable to repel the constant attacks. Serbia boosted their advantage to 16-6 at the second Team Time Out while running off six consecutive points. Kenya was also troubled by unforced errors as Serbia built their lead and ultimately took the set 25-9.
The outcome became academic early in the final set when Serbia rapidly established a 9-1 lead. One point in the set crystallized the match. Serbia’s Veljkovic went up for a spike with her right hand but mistimed her jump. On the way down she hit the ball with her left hand and it landed in a open space in the Kenya defense for a point. Serbia cruised the rest of the way to take the set and the match 25-8.
The Kenyan queens now take on Puerto Rico in their next clash.
