The Kshs 280 million Kenya Medical Training College Campus being built at Marsabit town, Marsabit County, will receive its first batch of students in March 2021.

This was agreed during a consultative meeting helď today Friday March 12, 2021 between KMTC Board of Directors led by Chairperson @Prof. Philip Kaloki and the County Governor Hon. Muhamud M. Ali in Marsabit town.

The new campus, which is at 92 percent completion, is the first of its kind in the county, and will start with three courses namely foundation course in community health, health records and information and certificate in community health assistant, Prof. Kaloki said.

The Governor committed his full support towards making the Campus fully operational, including purchasing a bus, a utility vehicle, library books, adequate furniture, and other teaching and learning equipment.

The County has set aside more land for expansion of the Campus, he said.

With the Chairperson were Board Director Mr Mithamo Muchiri, Deputy Registrar (Admission) Mr Thomas Kisukwa, Isiolo Campus Principal Mrs Agnes Linus, Regional Coordinator (Eastern) Mr David Okach, Resource Mobilization Manager Kamau Maina, and Board Secretariat’s Mr Dickson Kimathi.
