Kamwenja TTC is one of the oldest and most established public teacher training colleges in Kenya, originally founded in 1924 by the Consolata Missionaries. It was later handed over to the government to operate as a public national college. Over the decades, it has played a pivotal role in training primary school teachers, and in 2021, it fully transitioned from certificate (P1) training to competency-based diploma programs.

Kamwenja Teachers Training College (TTC), located 8km from Nyeri Town, is a premier Kenyan teacher education institution founded in 1924 by Bishop Perlo and the Consolata Missionary Society. Originally established as a missionary center, it has evolved into a nationally recognized co-educational college.
