How to Log in to Laikipia University Students Portal online, for Registration, E-Learning, Hostel Booking, Fees, Courses and Exam Results

Universities have Students Portals that enable students to get many services online at their convenience. To access the Student Portal, one must be a duly registered student. Once admitted to university, a student is given the Students Portal Log in credentials; Registration Numbers and Password.   • KCSE Mean Grade D+ or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution for all certificate courses
Diploma Entry Requirements

  • An aggregate KCSE grade of C – (Minus) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution, for Diploma in Education aggregate KCSE grade C+ , C+ in two teaching subjects and C(Plain) in English or its equivalent.
Degree Entry Requirements

  • An aggregate KCSE grade of C+ (PLUS) or a relevant Diploma from a recognized institution. (Some Degree Programmes may require higher aggregate KCSE grade).

Masters Entry Requirements
  • Minimum Entry Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree, Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and above OR Bachelor Degree Second Class Honours (Lower Division) with at least two (2) years’ relevant work experience.
Doctor of Philosophy Programmes Entry Requirements
  • Masters qualification in a relevant field from a recognized Institution or its Equivalent from a recognized institution.
Bachelor of Education Course Requirements:
  1. Mean grade C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects,
  2. 2 principal passes at A’Level and 1 subsidiary in relevant subjects,
  3. Diploma in Education (May be exempted in relevant units).
  4. P1 teachers must have scored C+ at KCSE to qualify.

Each student is expected to meet accommodation charges which will be communicated to each applicant before the session starts.

How to Log in to Kenyatta University Students Portal online, for Registration, E-Learning, Hostel Booking, Fees, Courses and Exam Results

Kenyatta University New Account Creation

Kenyatta university has launched a new student portal for online registration for courses and accommodation. In order to register you need to first create an account. Please follow the steps below to register for an account: Enter the following details as per the steps : 1. Visit the student Log in Portal; https://studentsts.ku.ac.ke/Login.aspx . Student ID should be the last sequential numbers of the student number. For Example: if the Actual Student number is     M25S/5942/2005. The student Id should be “5942/2005”. 2. Enter your First Name & Last Name. 3. “Place of Birth” is provided so as to help the students generate their forgotten password.

Kaimosi Friends University College Courses, admission requirements, cluster, fees and how to apply

Located in Vihiga County; Western Region, Kaimosi Teachers Training College  is a predecessor of Kaimosi Friends University College that was established as a constituent College of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, in 2014. Various accredited universities offer Courses in Education for prospective students who want to be teachers. The universities have course specific requirements for the various Arts and Sciences courses. They also offer various teaching subjects combinations. ADMISSIONS AT KAFUCO

Admission to any programme in the university is done according to well laid down procedures. The admission options available to prospective students are as follows:-
  • KUCCPS (Sponsored by the Kenyan Government): This is done through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), formerly the national Joint Admission Board (JAB), the body that does admission of students for all public universities in Kenya. To access your Admission Letter as  KUCCPS direct entry students click here
  • PSSP (SELF Sponsored) Students: Because the government sponsorship can cater for very few qualifying candidates, the university gives an option for self sponsorship. In this option, the admission will be done internally at the university. Admission to any postgraduate programme at the university is carried out by the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies (DPS) in close consultancy with the relevant school or faculty.

Students who complete the BML programme have a number of career and academic progression options. Bachelors of Development Studies

Overview

This programme has been developed with the understanding that there is a widening demand for professionals who can be able to initiate and mobilize communities to participate in the facilitation of their own development. BDS resonates with the needs of the devolved government as stipulated in the new constitution with the need to have the people in the rural areas to be fully involved in the community development activities.

MUA graduates will be well equipped with gender development skills to enable them design and facilitate development events that lead to Gender Equity in all human development endeavors.

Duration of the Programme
The academic undergraduate programmes take 4 academic years. Each year will have 3 trimesters. Each Trimester will have 14 weeks of study ( 12 weeks for tuition and 2 weeks exams) Each unit will have 3 hours per week totaling to 36 lecture hours per unit per trimester and 3 hours for examination leading to 39 hours in total per trimester

Course requirements

  • Attend at least 80% of the lectures
  • Any deferment of the course must be approved by the senate.
