Unexpected dismissal of Farke

One of the main disappointments of the season 2021/22 of the Premier League is Norwich. It is clear that the team was expected to fight to keep a place in the elite, but it started so poorly that it managed to get its first victory only in the eleventh round. Such football today results could not but affect the fate of the head coach of the team. As a result, Farke was dismissed. It is noteworthy that the management of the Canaries announced their decision after the team finally managed to get the first victory in the campaign.

The disastrous start of Norwich was compared by fans to the performance of Derby County in the season 2007/08. Then the team managed to score a measly 11 points for the entire campaign. Norwich went almost on a similar schedule and even got a victory, but for some reason it was at this moment that the management’s patience snapped, and the coach, who pulled the team out of the Championship twice, was fired.

On the one hand, this decision looks completely reasonable. The club is in deep crisis, and if the necessary measures are not taken right now, it will surely drop out of the elite division. On the other hand, literally a couple of weeks before the dismissal, the management expressed their full support to Farke. Many experts even said that this is a rational decision, which contrasts sharply with what Watford is doing, which changes coaches like gloves. But didn’t the Canaries take too long with the dismissal? And how will this inconsistency affect the team? We will find out the answer on the football field. By the way, it is always easy to follow the club’s performance on the sports statistics website.

Reasons for the team’s failure

The failure of Norwich in the season 2021/22 is a natural consequence of the team’s problems. This is already reflected on its today results football. Thus, the main reasons for failure might be:

  1. Tactical mistakes of the coach. Farke preferred to play open football even with the recognized grandees of the Premier League. It isn’t surprising that in such conditions, defeats with a difference of 3-4 and sometimes even 7 goals became the norm for the team.
  2. Bad shape of many leaders, for example, Krul, Kabak, Norman. They don’t show the level that the fans and the coaching staff were counting on.
  3. Lack of moral and volitional qualities. In fact, Norwich is playing good until the first missed goal. As soon as it happens, the team loses its motivation and stops showing its class. It is very difficult for the club to change events, which are unfortunate for it.

The result was the reasonable last place in the standings. Obviously, this was not expected from the team that played confidently in the Championship and managed to strengthen its positions both in defense and attack during the summer. You can follow the performances of Norwich in the Premier League and other tournaments on the sports statistics website.

FEASSSA president and Uganda’s Schools Sports Body mulling over introduction of new sports activities

The Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) president ,Mr. Justus Mugisha, says Uganda is considering introduction of new sports categories in her championships. This has been informed by the fact that the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) organizes competitions in only 13 categories as opposed to the 45 categories organized by the International Schools Sports body, ISF. Uganda, just like Kenya, is affiliated to the ISF and will be sending participants to the International Championships during the forthcoming editions.

The  Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) organizes competitions in: Athletics, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Netball, Rugby, Hockey, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis and Swimming.

“In the just concluded Sports Administration and Management Course for USSSA executive, regional secretaries and primary schools representatives at Kololo Secondary School, members were surprised to learn that whereas USSSA organizes competitions for only 13 different sports (categories) at the national level, the International Sports Body (ISF) to which USSSA is now affiliated organizes World Schools Competitions for 45 different Sports”, said Mr. Mugisha in a presser.

The Ugandan Secondary Schools’ Sports body ‘s members ratified a decision to introduce new sports disciplines from the grassroots to national level. “This is therefore, to request you, the stake holders, for proposals of the sports and on mode of the new competitions”, says the FEASSSA President.

Uganda finished second after Kenya at this year’s East Africa games held in Musanze Rwanda; from 11-19/08/2018. Uganda garnered a total of 25 medals (9 gold, 10 Silver and 6 Bronze medals) against Kenya’s 28.

The International Schools Sport Federation (ISF) is an International Multi-sport Federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded 1972 and has a total of 113 member countries. The current ISF president is France’s Laurent Petrynka. It organizes the following Sporting categories, for various age groups: Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Chess, Fencing, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate, Swimming, Taekwondo, Tennis, Wrestling, Badminton, Basketball 3X3, Beach Volleyball, Climbing, Golf, Orienteering, Petanque, Road Cycling, Sambo, Surf, Table Tennis, Triathlon, Alpine Skiing, Alpine snowboard, Biathlon, Cross- Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Freestyle Snowboard, Ice Hockey, Short Track Skating, Ski Jumping, Badminton, Basketball, Combat Sports, Cricket, Cross-Country, Dance, Flying Disc, Football, Futsal, Handball, Ski and Volleyball.

Soccer: The Most Popular Sport Ever!

Soccer: The Most Popular Sport Ever!

Soccer (or football) is loved by millions of people around the world. Whatever their country, age, or gender may be, everyone loves to watch the game. Kate Richardson, the author of this blog post, talks about the top four reasons why soccer is an amazing sport.

A Soccer Stadium.

Reason #1: Soccer Is Not An Expensive Sport

To play this incredible team sport, all you need is a football and an empty playground. You don’t need any expensive tools or sports gear. To become a professional, you will need a coach to guide you. But, if you want to just want to have fun, you can play soccer on your own. Here’s how soccer is much cheaper than other games:

  • Comparison with golf

Golf requires the players to buy a club set (the sticks with which you hit the golf ball) and golf balls as well. Although the balls are cheaper, the golf clubs can be really expensive. On top of that, you need to get a membership in a golfing club run by an association. Otherwise, you won’t be able to practice.

  • Polo is also expensive

This sport is perhaps one of the most expensive ones. You need a horse, build a stable for it, and take good care of the horse. None of this is cheap!

  • Even tennis is not cheap

The tennis racquet and ball are not very costly but definitely not pocket-friendly either. You also have to get access to a tennis court in order to play. Public tennis courts are usually always full while private ones have to be paid for.

Soccer sure seems like a great option now! You can play it anywhere – on empty streets, parking lots, parks, backyards, and the beach. All you need is the enthusiasm to get started.

Reason #2: Soccer Is Easy To Play

There are no complicated rules in soccer. Every goal is worth one point. You don’t even need to build a real goal while playing the game. A simple marking on the field can be used as the goal. You can even play without a goalkeeper. Professional soccer has a maximum of 11 players in each team. But, if you are playing for fun, you can reduce the number of players without affecting the gameplay.

So, you and your team members simply run around the field and hit the ball in the right direction. No other sport gets easier and more fun than this!

Reason #3: Soccer Is All About The Players

In this terrific game, all the players can contribute equally. Every player from both teams can score a goal from anywhere on the playing field. Also, the player’s gender does not matter, the rules are the same for girls as well as boys, and everyone uses the same equipment. Soccer truly is a game of the 21st century!

Even in professional soccer, the game is completely in the hands of the player. The coach is responsible for only training the team and evaluating the players’ performance. All the on-field strategic decisions during the game are taken by the team captains.

Reason #4: Soccer Is An Enthralling Game

People love to watch LIVE soccer games on the TV. In fact, soccer games are viewed by millions of people internationally. This is because it is an aggressive sport and the on-field action is thrilling to watch. The highest-watched soccer leagues include Bundesliga, LaLiga, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, English Football League, France Ligue, and Liga MX.

In these international soccer matches, every minute of the game is action-packed. Each goal is difficult to be scored. Sometimes, the competition is tough that only one goal is scored throughout the game. The thrill of the game increases when soccer fans place bets on the outcome of the matches.

Recently, online betting is emerging as a trend. Many websites like MightyTips provide valuable predictions that help gamblers to place a winning bet. Making stakes has become very easy with amazing apps like 1xbet, wazobet, and bet365. You can place a bet and win real money from the comfort of your home. It is worth giving these apps a try if you want to get rewarded for your passion for soccer.

Reason #5: Celebrity Sportspersons Play Soccer

Soccer in today’s world is full of professional players who play an excellent game and score difficult goals. Their talent is awe-inspiring and young soccer lovers look up to them. These players have become celebrities and fans all over the world switch on their TV only to see them play. This has boosted the admiration for the sport globally.
