Lugari Member of Parliament,the Honorable Ayub Savula Angatia,has been arrested this evening by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, DCI, Detectives for conspiring to steal Ksh.122,335,500 from the Ministry of Information Communication and Technology.
Honourable Savula will, now, spend the whole weekend in police custody and shall be arraigned in court on Monday, 29.10.2018.
A gang of four that has been waylaying people coming from banks & robbing them of their hard earned cash & other valuables were early today arrested in Kajiado County. Look at them keenly. Detectives from the Serious Crime Unit have today, 16th November 2018, afternoon arrested four young men who created a website similar to Uwezo Fund and using the name of the First Lady of Kenya (Margret Kenyatta), defrauded applicants millions of shillings after they sent an application fee for loan processing.
The four suspects: Collins Kiptanui, Dominic Kimutai, Brian Kiplagat and Joakim Kibet are currently in lawful custody and will be arraigned in court on Monday,19th 2018. Below are photographs of the four suspects (Courtesy of the DCI):
Elsewhere, Mr.You Chungwoo and https://Mr.Kim Ki Hyun; both nationals of Korea were arrested today by Detectives for being in possession of several bundles of counterfeit currencies(Dollars and Euros).Black papers and sale agreements of Gold nuggets were recovered. Detectives had earlier on received information that the two Koreans, who are in possession of expired passports, were engaging in criminal activities. Below, are photographs of the two suspects;
The Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, has today (Sunday 25th November 2018) given consent to Ethics and Corruption commission, EACC Kenya, to institute criminal prosecution against three Chinese National working with China Roads and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) at the Standard Gauge Railways (SGR) Mombasa Terminus.
The three men were arrested after the Nation Newspaper exposed ticketing fraud at the SGR. The three, Mr. Li Gen the in-charge of Transport, Mr. Li Xiaowu-security manager and Mr. Sun Xin-staff, were offering the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, DCI Kenya, investigators a bribe of Kshs 500,000 as an inducement to influence an ongoing criminal investigation at the SGR Miritini terminus.
The three Chinese Nationals will be charged with the offence of giving a bribe contrary to section 5 (1) as read with section 18(1), (2) of the Bribery Act No. 47 of 2016.

A video of young men wielding lethal fire arms and robbing Nairobi shoppers has emerged. In the video, the young men enter a shop in Nairobi and hold shoppers hostage as they steal from them and the shop keepers.

This comes after detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, DCI, announced that they had on Saturday (1st December, 2018) arrested Mr.Leonard Munyaka Wambua alias ‘Lion’-a notorious house breaker and burglar. he was arrested in Langata area of Nairobi. According to the DCI; “The suspect has been involved in numerous house breaking and burglaries in Nairobi and Mombasa. He targets Electronics, Jewelry and Mobile Phones when Stealing.”
