Useless Courses!- The list of 106 degree courses that none of 2018 KCSE candidates was admitted into; to be scrapped.

A total of 8 degree courses failed to attract interest from students who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, exams in 2018. While releasing the admission results for 2019 Education Cabinet Secretary, Prof George Magoha directed the Commission for Higher Education, CUE, to review the courses and scrap the ‘useless’ ones. “There are many programmes in our universities that fail to attract a single student. This situation must be addressed. The Commission for University Education must conduct a thorough analysis of these courses with a view to addressing this shocking scenario, including a review and scrapping of such programmes,” directed Prof Magoha.
