Register as a member: In Employment
If you are inย employment, all you need is to visit anyย NSSF Officeย closest to you with:
- Your originalย National Identity Cardย (ID Card),ย Alien Cardย orย Passportย and a copy of it
- An introduction letter from your employer (view sample)
We will record your details and register you. You will then be issued with an NSSF membership card. Your employer will require theย NSSF Numberย on your card to enable them to make contributions to your account.

Register as a member: Voluntary
If you are inย selfย employment, all you need is to visit anyย NSSF Officeย closest to you with:
- Your originalย National Identity Cardย (ID Card),ย Alien Cardย orย Passportย and a copy of it
- You will then pay aย minimumย amount ofย Ksh 200, as an initial contribution to activate your card
We will record your details and register you. You will then be issued with an NSSF membership card. You can then start contributing to your account at your nearest NSSF branch or throughย MPESA.ย Click hereย to know how to contribute throughย MPESA
