Leicester City Football club’s Chairman among those killed in aircraft accident- details

Leicester City Football Club has confirmed that Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, 61 years old, was among the 5 passengers killed in the helicopter crash on Saturday evening.

The accident occurred shortly after their 1-1 draw against West ham united. Ndidi’s late goal earned Leicester a point at the King Power Stadium.

Under his ownership, Leicester secured promotion to the top-flight in 2014 and, against odds of 5,000-1, won the 2015/16 Premier League title. He saved the club from huge debts and moved it from being relegated (2014/2015) to being the 2015/2016 PL champions. The club, also, reached the 2016/2017 season’s UEFA Champions League quarter finals.

The Thailand billionaire, Mr, Srivaddhanaprabha,  bought Leicester City for £39m in 2010. He was married and had four children.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff, the pilot and a passenger were killed when the aircraft, that he owned, crashed at about 10:30 PM, Kenyan time, on Saturday night.

Leicester City FC have confirmed that 5 people were on board in the helicopter crash and none survived. Those in the ill fated plane, were:
