Kolanya Girls national school and Kolanya Boys high school from Teso North have emerged the top performed schools in Busia county in 2024 KCSE registering over 87% university entry.
The two neighbouring schools attributed their performance to discipline, hard work and determination According to Jemimah Shikuku , the top performed student in Kolanya girls national school.
Kolanya girls’ National school principal Dr. Tabitha Okama noted that their interest is to ensure that school produces the best students who are well versed in different areas including academic, curriculum and moral.
Kolanya Boys high school Principal Jactone Indimuli said since 2015 the school has never had a mean score of 8 but this year the school have attained it adding that they are aiming to top the county next year.
