SCHOOL’S BRIEF HISTORY

Kenyatta High School, Taita, was established in 1970 through a government grant which facilitated the construction of the school.  It started as a full government school with 3 streams in form I to IV and 2 streams in form V and VI.

When the 8+4+4 system of education was introduced in 1986, a fourth stream was introduced from form I to IV and the same state exists up to now.

SCHOOL’S FORM ONE SELECTION CRITERIA & ADMISSIONS

SCHOOL’S KCSE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

The school has maintained a good run in performance at the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC, exams. In the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, exams the school featured in the list of top 200 schools nationally. This is after recording a mean score of 7.7 (B- minus).

In KCSE 2017, the school produced the second best student in the county and the school had a mean grade of 8.131 (B- minus).
