Information that will be generated from the 2019 Census will help with planning, budgeting and programming for important services; future policy formulation as well as resource allocation across counties and the National Government.
Mobile based technology to be used in data collection in a bid to ensure that the final figures are accurate.
Tablets configured by two contracted local universities; Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and Moi University, will be used during the census. Key benefits of using modern technology in data collection during the exercise will include reduction of time for data processing, analysis and release of the results. The use of mobile technology in the census will also save the country from printing millions of paper questionnaires.
