KCPE Exams kick off this morning, Education CS is on location to check progress

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, KCPE, Examination has kicked off this morning, with the distribution of exams materials. Education Cabinet Secretary, Amb Amina Mohammed, was at Kiambu sub-county to oversee the opening of the Kenya National Exams Council, KNEC, Container and distribution of examination material. The Education officials, Centre managers and security personnel kicked off the exercise with a word of prayer for the nation and children. Amb Amina then Sent ‘the very best wishes to all our candidates.’

Amina in an update on the progress of the exams said: “Three candidates from Githunguri, Ruiru and Kasarani are hospitalized and ample arrangements have been made to administer the examination in hospital. This will be the practice across the country. We will leave no child behind.”

Elsewhere, Environment and Forestry CS Keriako Tobiko inspected the opening of KCPE exam papers at Athi river Deputy County Commissioner’s office, early this morning.

The three day KCPE exams start today end on Thursday.
