Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi are all through to this year’s Africa Cup Of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt. The East African countries made history by grabbing the four tickets to this year’s AFCON finals thaf is to be played between June 21st and 19th July 2019.
Ex-Nigeria international Striker, Coach Emmanuel Amuneke assisted Tanzania to qualify for its first Africa Cup of Nations since 1980. Tanzania beat rivals Uganda 3-0 at home on Sunday 24th March, 2019, to seal their place among the 24 teams whose flags would be hoisted at 2019 AFCON finals in Egypt from June.
South Africa’s Bafana Bafana was the last team to pick their ticket on the night of Sunday 24th March, 2019. They qualified for AFCON 2019 with a big 2-1 away win against Libya. A brilliant Percy Tau double saw them through to complete the list of the 24 teams set to play at this year’s edition.

The draw for the group stage of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Finals will take place on Friday 12th April, 2019. It will be the first Africa Cup of Nations final that will involve 24 teams. The number of teams was expanded from the initial 16 to 24.
