Bondo and Marakwet Teachers SACCOs among institutions contracted by the Women Enterprise Fund to offer loans

Siaya’s Bondo Teachers Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisation, SACCO, is among the Financial institutions selected by the Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) to offer loans to various groups. This revelation was made in a presser by WEF detailing the list of successful SACCOs that will partner with the government run fund to deserving groups. Also selected is SMARTLIFE SACCO (formerly Marakwet Teachers Sacco) from Elgeyo-Marakwet County.

BONDO TEACHERS SACCO SOCIETY LTD-SIAYA COUNTY, KENYATTA MATIBABU SACCO-NAIROBI COUNTY, FRIENDS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT ORGANIZATION (formerly Friends of Ravine Women Empowerment Organization)-BARINGO COUNTY, KAPACWA SACCO SOCIETY LTD-NYERI COUNTY, COMOCO SACCO LIMITED-NAIROBI COUNTY and SMARTLIFE SACCO (formerly Marakwet Teachers Sacco)-ELGEYO MARAKWET COUNTY.

The Women Enterprise Fund is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth & Gender Affairs established in August 2007, to provide accessible and affordable credit to support women start and/or expand business for wealth and employment creation.
