2019 KNBS Recruitment; Interview invitation messages and questions for Content Supervisors

Kenyans who tendered in their applications to be considered for the Content Supervisors’ jobs have received communication on interview schedule. The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, KNBS, has invited shortlisted candidates for interviews this coming week. The Applicants will be subjected to both written and Oral interviews.

Here is a sample SMS inviting a shortlisted candidate to the interviews for Content Supervisors;

‘This is to inform you that you have been shortlisted for content supervisor (census) job. Interviews are scheduled for Monday 8/07/2019 in (interview place) at (Interview time). Carry your original documents plus a clipboard for written interview. Those successful will go through oral interview on 10/07/2019. Observe time. Pls confirm receipt through (Correspondence).’

KNBS is seeking to recruit close to 164,000 personnel on short term basis. 135,000 enumerators will be recruited on a temporarily basis, 27,000 will be content supervisors and 2,700 will be Information Technology, IT, Supervisors. Also to be hired are village elders, security personnel and coordinators to assist in making the exercise flawless.

Latest 2019 Enumerators’ Census jobs shortlisting, interview dates, guide to interview questions and their answers

KNBS kicks off training of the 2,700 ICT Supervisors Countrywide.

The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, KNBS, has kicked off the training of the recently recruited ICT Supervisors. The Statistics agency is training the ICT Supervisors ahead of the August Housing and Population Census exercise. The training is being executed in 9 centres across the country.

ICT supervisors from Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Bomet and Nyamira counties are undergoing training at the Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu. While, traininh of ICT supervisors from Nairobi and Kiambu County are undergoing training at the Multimedia University.

ICT supervisors from counties in the coastal region; Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Tana River, Lamu, Taita Taveta & Lamu are undergoing training at Mombasa Beach Hotel. Garissa university will play host to ICT Supervisors from the counties of Garissa, Wajir and Mandera.

Elsewhere, ICT supervisors from Marsabit, Isiolo, Meru, Tharaka and Embu counties are undergoing training at Kenya School of Government, Embu. Similarly, ICT supervisors from the counties of Kitui, Machakos, Makueni and Kajiado are meeting at Machakos University Conference.

Other training venues include:
1). Machakos University Conference for ICT supervisors from the counties of Kitui, Machakos, Makueni and Kajiado,
2). Dedan Kimathi University; for ICT supervisors from counties in Central Kenya Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a and Laikipia,
3). Moi University-Main Campus for ICT supervisors from the counties of Turkana, West Pokot, Samburu, Elgeyo-Marakwet and Nandi and
4). Kenya School of Government, Baringo for Baringo, Nakuru, Narok and Kericho ICT supervisors.

The ICT Supervisors will then train Content Supervisors who will in turn train the Enumerators. This year’s Census exercise will be conducted on the night of 24th August, 2019.
