The knec marking centers remain constant year in year out. Last year KCSE examiners staged demos to protest the poor living and working conditions at the centers with KUPPET requesting that they be moved to universities and colleges in vain.

Although the examiners keep on moving from one marking center to another every year, the designated knec marking centers for this year include Mang’u High, Mary Hill Girls, State House Girls, Sunshine High, Moi Forces Academy, Alliance Girls Lenana School, Buru Buru Girls, St. George’s Girls, Moi Isinya, Loreto Girls-Kiambu, Murang’a TTC, Lenana School, Ngara Girls, Starehe Boys, Mary Leaky Girls, Thika High School, Limuru Girls, Senior Chief Koinange Girls, Upper Hill High, Machakos Girls among others.

For some KCSE papers, though, either the marking center or reporting dates are missing. For letters with reporting dates, examiners are required to arrive at the marking centers on the indicated dates by 2.00 pm.
