President Uhuru Kenyatta, yesterday, officially launched the M-Pesa Academy. The M-Pesa Foundation Academy is a state of the art, coeducational and residential High School offering the Kenyan National Curriculum. It is situated in Thika town.
During its official launch, yesterday, the President had this to say:
- It is important that we provide quality education to our young people. My government will continue to support all institutions and organizations within the education sector to promote excellence and credibility.
- The Education sector has been allocated more than Kshs.430 Billion in the 2018/2019 FY budget. Funds that will go towards supporting our schools and teachers as they nurture the minds of our young learners.
- We appreciate the fact that our children have different strengths & talents. And for this reason, I encourage all students to do their best, leverage on their different strengths to be who they want to become and remain people of integrity.
