KUCCPS 2025 Results for 2024 KCSE Candidates Set to Be Released This Week: Here’s How to Access Them
The government has wrapped up the placement process for 2024 KCSE candidates into universities, paving the way for admissions under a newly enhanced higher education framework that offers scholarships and loans for students in need.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba, represented by Dr. David Watene, the Director of Education in the State Department of Higher Education, announced that the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has successfully concluded the placement procedure, with official results expected to be unveiled next week.
“I am pleased to inform you that KUCCPS has finalized the placement of students who applied to various universities based on the KCSE 2024 results. The placement details will be released next week to streamline the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic year,” Ogamba stated.
During the joint graduation ceremony for JKUAT and the Pan African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI) on June 27, Ogamba mentioned that the government has allocated funds for scholarships and loans to enhance access to higher education.
“This academic year, we have set aside Sh 41.5 billion for the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and Sh 16.9 billion for the University Fund dedicated to scholarships,” he revealed.
He underscored that reforms in the university funding model are in progress to strengthen the financial health of public universities and ensure quality education for all.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the 44th cohort for JKUAT and the 12th for PAUSTI, honoring a total of 2,910 graduates.
Prof. Victoria Wambui Ngumi, Vice Chancellor of JKUAT, highlighted the introduction of new academic programs such as Naval Architecture and Biomedical Engineering, and commended students for their recent triumph at the Huawei Global ICT Competition in Shenzhen, China.
“The University is prioritizing research collaboration and partnerships. Our faculty and students are actively engaged in collaborative and interdisciplinary research initiatives that align with both national and international objectives,” she noted.
