How to Apply for TSC’s 2025 Teacher Recruitment – 2,014 Job Openings Available

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 2,014 job openings to fill positions left by teachers who have retired or left the profession. This announcement was made on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, and all successful applicants will be hired permanently with benefits.

The job openings are for different education levels: 1,309 positions in primary schools, 32 in Junior Secondary Schools (JSS), and 673 in secondary schools. The hiring will follow the TSC Recruitment Guidelines for the 2024/2025 Financial Year, as explained in Circulars 19/2024 and 20/2024.

Qualifications and How to Apply

To apply, you must be a Kenyan citizen and a registered teacher with the TSC. For primary school jobs, you need a P1 certificate. For JSS and secondary school positions, you need a diploma in education, with at least a C+ in the KCSE exam and a C+ in two teaching subjects.

All applications must be submitted online. Interested candidates should apply through the TSC website at www.tsc.go.ke under the ‘Careers’ section or at teachersonline.tsc.go.ke. The deadline to apply is midnight on Monday, May 19, 2025.

TSC has also provided detailed information about job openings by county and school on its website.

Important Guidelines for Applicants

TSC stated that candidates who are shortlisted must bring their original academic and professional certificates to the interview. They warned against submitting multiple applications, as this will lead to disqualification.

Applications cannot be submitted by hand. The Commission will prioritize applicants who have never been employed by TSC before.

TSC is committed to fairness and encourages people with disabilities to apply. They also reminded everyone that the recruitment process is completely free.

Warning About Scams

Finally, TSC advised applicants to be careful and avoid scams. Some people may try to trick applicants into paying for help with the hiring process.

If you suspect fraud, you should contact the nearest TSC office or call the following numbers:

– Director, Staffing: 0202892193
– Deputy Director, Staffing: 0202892131
– Email: dirstaffing@tsc.go.ke

TSC also encouraged reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station to ensure action is taken.
