  Sironga Girls High School || SCHOOL’S HISTORY 

The Top Performing Girls’ National school, founded on a strong religious background rooted in the faith of the Seventh Day Adventists, was established in July 1968 by the then Vice President, the late Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, as a Harambee Mixed Secondary School.

The school became a girls-only secondary school in 1990. Sironga Girls School was promoted to the national level in 2014. The school has been nicknamed ‘Maroon Palace’ due to the maroon color of its uniform.

The school is located in Nyamira County, Nyamira South Sub-County, Township Ward. It was started in July 1968 by the then Vice President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi as a Harambee Mixed Secondary School. The school became a girls only secondary school in 1990. Sironga Girls School was promoted to national level in 2014. The school has been nicknamed ‘Maroon Palace’ because the uniform is maroon. The institution is founded on strong religious background, backed by the faith of the Adventists. There is no morning prep on Saturdays since they worship on this day.

Each year, the school admits over 50o students.
