Twalib Abdallah Mbarak to be the new corruption watch body, EACC, boss

<p>The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission&comma; EACC&comma; has nominated Mr&period; Twalib Abdallah Mbarak&comma; to be  the next boss&period; The panel interviewing applicants submitted his name to  parliament for approval&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;The Commission received 71 applications and 14 candidates were shortlisted and invited for interviews between 27th and 29th November&comma; 2018&period; After considering the laid down requirements set out in the consitution and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act&comma; a decision has been reached by the Commission and Mr&period; Twalib Abdallah Mbarak is hereby nominated for the approval by the National Assembly&comma;&&num;8221&semi; reads a press statement dated 29th November&comma; 2018&comma; by the EACC Chairman &lpar;Archbishop&comma; Rtd&comma; Eliud Wabukala&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The panel picked Mbarak from a list of 13 other interviewees including the current EACC deputy Chief Executive Officer&comma; Michael Mubea&comma; who has also been acting as the anti-graft body&&num;8217&semi;s boss&period; Mr&period; Mbarak is the current manager at the Kenya Electricity Generating Company&comma; KenGen&comma; and holds a Masters of Arts degree in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>If approved&comma; by parliament&comma; Mbarak will replace the outgoing Harakhe Waqo&comma; and serve the Commission for a period of six years&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
