KUCCPS Opens Application Portal for KMTC: Your Guide to Enrollment

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially launched its application portal for aspiring students eager to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

In a notice released on June 24, KUCCPS revealed that the portal is now accessible for candidates looking to enroll in the upcoming September 2025 intake.

Encouraging students to seize this opportunity, the placement service highlighted that the application window will be open for a fortnight, from June 23 to July 7.

“Exciting news! The KUCCPS online system is now live for applications to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the September 2025 intake,” the announcement stated.

In the notice, KUCCPS directed prospective applicants to submit their course preferences via the KUCCPS portal or visit any Huduma center nationwide.

Steps to Apply for KMTC Courses

To explore the 36 courses on offer, students should navigate to the KUCCPS portal at students.kuccps.net.

Upon entering the portal, applicants will need to input their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) index number, the year of their KCSE, and their password.

Students are encouraged to use their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or their birth certificate number as their password.

KUCCPS has made available a diverse range of 36 programs, including both diploma and certificate options. Among the highlighted courses are the Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery and the Diploma in Pharmacy.

Other diploma offerings encompass Public Health, Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Health Counseling, Health Promotion, Kenya Registered Nursing, Mortuary Science, and Optometry.

For those interested in certificate programs, options include Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Medical Emergency Technician, Health Insurance Management, and Nutrition and Dietetics.

This latest announcement follows a previous opening of the portal for candidates to revise their course selections, aimed at 2024 KCSE candidates who either missed the initial application or were not placed successfully.
