Academic performance: The school is an academic giant in Kenya. Every year, it sends many students to top rated universities in Kenya.
Co-curricular activities: The school offers one of the best co-curricular activities for students to develop and nurture their talents.
Teaching Staff: The school has a very hard working teaching staff employed by the Teachers Service Commission, TSC. There is a strong support staff employed by the Board of Management, BoM.
Students’ discipline: The school has a strong discipline foundation that moulds learners into responsible citizens. Albeit this, there have been very limited instances of students’ unrest and strikes. A case at point is the 2012 Unrest. One of the most notable historical incidents occurred in October 2012. Baricho High was among several schools in Kirinyaga (including Kamuiru and Kerugoya Boys) where students were sent home following a rampage. But, this happened many years ago.
