TV Journalist Jackie Maribe has been released on a KSh. 2 million bond or Sh1M bail.
High Court Judge Wakiaga, however, ruled that Maribe shouldn’t read news, conduct interviews or contact witnesses. She is also supposed to accompany the Inspectorate of Police, IO, to her residence for collection of evidence whenever required.
Her co-accused and fiance, Joseph Irungu alias ‘Jowie’, was however, denied bond after the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, DPP, proved that he is a flight risk as he has no fixed aboard, known assets and his love for and access to firearms may intimidate witnesses.
Hearing of the case has been set for 18th-27th June 2019.
The two are facing criminal charges for the murder of Ms. Monica Kimani.
