TSC Replacement Vacancies 2025: Documents Needed for Teacher Interviews
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has shared important information about what candidates must bring to teacher recruitment interviews.
To ensure a fair hiring process, candidates need to show original and clear copies of certain documents for verification.
Documents to Bring for Interviews
Candidates who are selected for interviews must bring several important documents. They should have the original and clear photocopies of their National Identification Card, TSC Certificate of Registration, and educational certificates like degrees or diplomas along with their official transcripts for each qualification listed in their application.
They also need to show their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). If a candidate has taken KCSE or KCPE multiple times, they must bring certificates from all attempts. Additionally, they should provide all primary and secondary school leaving certificates and any other relevant documents.
If the candidate has a disability, they should include their National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) certificate. If there are any name differences in the documents, the candidate must provide a sworn affidavit to explain them. If any academic certificate is lost, they need a certification letter from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
The TSC has stressed that incomplete documents will not be accepted.
Verification of Documents
The TSC will check all academic and professional documents to ensure that only qualified candidates are hired. Provisional academic documents will not be accepted. All applicants must bring original and photocopies of required documents, including identification, academic records, school leaving certificates, and any other relevant documents.
Intern teachers have a simpler process and only need to bring their national ID for verification.
Documents for Successful Applicants
Successful candidates will need to submit additional paperwork to the Secretary of the Selection Panel. This includes both sides of their national ID, two recent passport-sized photos, KCPE and KCSE certificates, any A-Level certificates, all academic qualifications (including diplomas or degrees) and their transcripts, the TSC registration certificate, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN, a copy of their bank card, a pay point form, the GP 69 Medical Examination Form, and a receipt for submitted documents.
Final Papers for TSC Headquarters
The final paperwork from the TSC County Directors will be sent to the TSC headquarters. This will include signed panel minutes, county merit lists with successful candidates (including those with disabilities), employment letters, and the original KNEC documents for authenticity, along with the GP 69 medical form.
It’s important to ensure all documents are certified, organized, and spelled correctly to make the onboarding process smooth. A senior TSC official noted that having complete and well-organized documents is crucial for timely processing and payroll.
Candidates often forget documents, so it’s important to carefully check the list and ensure all required documents are brought to avoid disqualification.
