Good news for prospective university students as KUCCPS extends application deadline

Extension of Deadline: 2019/2020 Placement to Universities and Colleges

NAIROBI, February 22, 2019

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) opened its online application system on February 6, 2019 for the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination candidates and other eligible Kenyan youth to apply for placement to degree, diploma, certificate or artisan courses. The application was scheduled to end on February 23, 2019.

Some degree courses that had not been approved by the Commission for University Education (CUE) for the 2019/2020 placement have now been cleared and uploaded on the application system for students to apply for.

To ensure that the students have ample time to make their selection especially of these additional programmes, the Placement Service has extended the application deadline to Monday, March 4, 2019.

Those who had already applied/revised their choices but would wish to make further changes in light of the newly uploaded programmes are therefore encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. There will be no additional charges.

Huduma Centres

Students seeking application support may now access services in the following Huduma Centres across the country: Nairobi (Makadara), Eldoret, Meru, Nyeri, Kisumu, Kakamega, Nakuru, Kitui, Garissa and Mombasa.
