Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage, Amb. Dr Amina Mohammed, has been ranked among the 2019 top 100 African women.
The list which was released by the leading African Rating and PR firm, Avance Media features distinguished women whose works and accomplishments continue to inspire the next generation of women in Africa.
Speaking about the list, Prince Akpah, Managing Director of Avance Media, noted that, the list has a representation of 100 women from 35 African countries, who are changing the feminine narrative and challenging the status quo of women on the continent.
The list features women who occupy eminent leadership positions such as President, Prime Minister, Secretary General, First Lady, Governor, Minister, CEO and Commissioners.
“Presented as a ranking of the 100 Most Influential African Women, this publication presents a summary of women who have climbed the corporate ladder, started their own businesses, or have been at the forefront of decision making both locally & internationally,” reads accompanying text on avancemedia.org.
Notable personalities to be featured include but are not limited to: Presidents, Diplomats, Board Chairs, CEOs, Scholars, Chancellors, Politicians, and Philanthropists but must be individuals of distinguished personalities in their field of work.
