TSC to promote 1000 practising teachers in public primary schools and post them to secondary schools during the August, 2019 recruitment

The Teachers Service commission, TSC, will promote 1,000 primary school teachers and post them to secondary schools. This will be good news to the teachers who have attained higher qualifications but still plying their trade at primary level. The teachers will be promoted during this year’s recruitment in August.

Eligible candidates should meet the following basic requirements:
i) Be Kenyan Citizens;
ii) PI Certificate;
iii) Bachelor’s Degree in Education with 2 teaching subjects;
iv) Must have minimum mean grade C+ (Plus) at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent and minimum C+ (Plus) in the two teaching subjects.
v) Must be employees of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

According to the Commission, :Interested candidates under this category are required to submit their application to the Secretary Teachers Service Commission through online platform http//www.teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than 30th August, 2019.’

Successful candidates under this category shall be appointed at T-Scale 7 (Grade C2) and posted to secondary schools where vacancies exist.

This means secondary schools will get 5000 new teachers to reduce the biting staff deficiencies occasioned by influx from the 100% transition drive.

    I hope tsc is yet to dispatch letters of deployment for 100 P1 practising teachers with higher qualifications to be moved to secondary schools as per tsc August 2019 advert (03/2019). I’m patiently waiting for the same. Thank you.
    With regard
    Beatrice.

    CBC is as good as living a Life worthwhile. I urge comrades to take it positive so that we can get opportunity to spearhead the development of our Nation through the Kenyan children we are entrusted with!……and ….”One seed well planted and tendered yields progressively to fill granaries over a time bound..”

    Where are the letters from tsc! I wonder because some teachers claim to have received theirs and that they have reported to their new work stations. TSC should clarify this as soon as possible. I just see…. “submitted and in progress”

    I THINK,IT’S WORTH FOR THE COUNTY GOVERNMENTS IN KENYA TO NOTE (IN THE AREA OF ECDE/CBC)AND EMULATE THE EXAMPLE EXHIBITED BY THE TSC BY POSTING ADVERTS OPENLY AND PROPROMOTING IT’S MEMBERS WHO ATTAINED DEGREES. AS OPPOSED TO ECDE TEACHERS WITH DEGREES BUT JUST ROTTING IN THE THEIR VILLAGES JOBLESS.

    It is my humble request that TSC to place full list for those who were shortlisted as concerns P1 graduate teachers who applied for deployment to Secondary schools.
    I had B- at form 4 in 2003, I had A- in Agriculture and B+ in Biology, I have degree with second class upper. No communication at all. I applied. Where is our fate

    We appreciate that our colleagues will be promoted.Please, may God touch you too to consider the Diploma teachers who received acknowledgement letters on2014.Personally I been desperately waiting for this promotion to enable me enroll for a degree.Please note we are the teachers who waited for more than 10 years after college without getting an employment and now our age is catching up on us.Regards
