Lugari Diploma Teachers Training College, registered by the Ministry of Education is currently the second highest Public Government Training Institution based in Western Kenya. The Institution is located in Kakamega County, Lugari Sub County, in Munyuki Sub-Location, approximately 35kilometres from Eldoret on Uganda – Webuye Road, between Turbo Township and Kipkarren River Township, 4 km from the main Eldoret-Malaba road, in a serene and cool environment away from industrial and traffic pollution.
The concept of starting a Public Teacher Training College was first mooted in 2013. Lugari community was keen on having a Teacher Training College started in the sub county. It was largely felt that the establishment of the College other than assisting students from all over Kenya would encourage students from the Secondary and Primary schools within the Constituency/County to uplift their performance, and also stir economic growth in the region.
It was an initiative of the Community through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and Ministry of Education. It is managed by a Substantive Board of Management appointed by the Cabinet Secretary – Ministry of Education. The College was cleared by The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) and received its first batch of students in September 2015/2016 Academic Year.

1. Application

When KUCCPS opens its windows for students to apply and/or revise their course choices, please visit KUCCPS website www.students.kuccps.net and make your applicaion. Check course codes on courses offered below to ensure you have the right code for courses offered at Lugari Diploma TTC.
(b) Walk in students
Students who missed to apply when KUCCPS opened its website for applications shuf not loose hope, you are advised to choose a program below, click on it, follow the guided stpes and fill in the details that are needed. You will receive a response back in the account you have created. K.C.S.E. certificate/ Results slip will be verified before a student is guided and assisted to KUCCPS placement.
2. Admission
(a) Students posted by KUCCPS
To access your admission letters via Kuccps, log in to the student portal using your index numbers as the username and password. This simplifies the login process, ensuring easy recall of your credentials. Once logged in, you can view and retrieve your admission letters. Seek assistance from your institution or the Kuccps support team if you encounter any difficulties.
(b) walk in students
To access your admission letters through Kuccps, walk-in students are required to log in to the student portal using the credentials they set during the application process. During your application, you would have chosen a username and password of your preference. These chosen credentials will be used for logging in to the student portal. If you encounter any difficulties during the login process, feel free to seek assistance from your institution or the Kuccps support team.
You will be guided to download the admission letter after your results are verified
