Latest news on TSC secondary schools teachers’ recruitment; Interview dates and subject combinations changes

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, is currently recruiting a total of 5,000 teachers to support the government’s 100 percent transition Policy from Primary to Secondary Schools. Schools, where the posts had been advertised, have been receiving application documents from interested degree and diploma holders. The applications were received between Wednesday 30th January, 2019 and 11th February, 2019 (9 days).

With the applications window now formally closed, interviews will be executed at various designated areas countrywide between Tuesday 12th February, 2019 and 26th February, 2019 (10 days). Some of the areas that have advertised the interview dates are:

A. SCHEDULE FOR INTERVIEWS- BOMET COUNTY

In Bomet County, interview dates and venues for the various Sub- Counties have been scheduled as shown below:

• Konoin Sub- County: 25/02/2019 at Saseta Girls
• Chepalungu Sub- County: 26/02/2019 at Moi Siongiroi
• Sotik Sub- County: 27/ 2/2019 at Pastoral centre
• Bomet East Sub- County: 28/02/2019 at Longisa AGC
• Bomet Central Sub- County: 01/03/2019 at Tenwek Boys.

B. SCHEDULE FOR INTERVIEWS- NYANDARUA COUNTY

For Nyandarua County, the interviews have been scheduled as shown below:

APPROVED CHANGES TO THE TSC ADVERTISED POSTS.

Meanwhile, some schools have been allowed to change the advertised subject combinations to suit the current staff demands. These changes have been occasioned by: The Commission erroneously advertising same posts twice and in some cases the schools missing teachers in some subjects. For an advertised subject combination to be changed, the Principal of the affected school must make a formal application to the TSC County Director; who in turns approves the changes.
