You can apply for these courses via the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement, KUCCPS, online portal. KUCCPS has set various minimum requirements for the courses. To pursue a Diploma in Education, you must have scored a Minimum Mean Grade of C+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Also required is a minimum of a C+ (plus) in the two teaching subjects that you want to major in; these are the subjects that you will be able to teach at high school on completion of your studies. Finally, a new requirement has been introduced for all teacher trainees. You must now have to score a grade C (plain) and above in English in order to train as a teacher.
