    The TSC invites educators to verify their documents for 2,014 job replacement opportunities.

    The TSC invites educators to verify their documents for 2,014 job replacement opportunities.

    The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has begun to notify teachers who submitted applications for 2,014 teaching replacement positions, with the application period closing on 19th May 2025.

    In an advertisement, the TSC announced a total of 2,014 teaching positions available, with 1,309 designated for primary schools, 32 for junior schools, and 673 for secondary schools.

    The job is offered on a permanent basis and includes pension benefits. The Commission stated that a P1 certificate is the minimum requirement for applicants seeking slots in primary schools, while a diploma in education is required for those applying to junior and secondary schools.

    The Commission has provided a list of academic and professional documents that need to be submitted to the recruitment panel for the verification process.

    Candidates must provide original documents and clear photocopies of the following, along with other necessary documents for confirmation: –

    Documents needed for verification for primary school educators.

    1) Identification card issued by the government.

    2) Teacher Registration Certificate;

    3) Proof of the achievement of the Upgrade Diploma in Primary Teacher Education or UDPTE Certificate, if relevant.

    4) PTE Certification;

    5) KCSE certificates or equivalent documents (please include certificates for any attempts if the exam was retaken);

    6) KCPE certificate or an equivalent qualification (please include certificates for any attempts if the exam was retaken);

    7) Certification letter of results from KNEC (if relevant);

    8) Certificates of completion for Primary and Secondary School, as well as additional pertinent testimonials;

    National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card (if relevant);

    10) A formal statement made under the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap 15 of the Laws of Kenya, to clarify the differences in names.

    Required documents for verification for post-primary school teachers (Junior Secondary School and Secondary).

    a) National ID card.

    b) Teacher’s Registration Certificate;

    c) Diploma or degree certificate along with official academic transcripts;

    d) KCSE certificates or an equivalent qualification (please include certificates from any attempts if the exams were retaken);

    e) KCPE certificate or a comparable document (attach certificates for any retakes if the exams were re-sat);

    f) Certificates of completion for Primary and Secondary Schools, along with any other pertinent documents;

    g) National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card (if relevant);

    h) A sworn Affidavit in accordance with the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap 15 of the Laws of Kenya, to clarify the differences in names;

    i) Certification letter of results issued by KNEC (if relevant).

    Nevertheless, intern teachers who have received 50 marks in the score sheet will only need to show their identity cards during the verification process.

    Individuals with disabilities must disclose their disability status and specify the types of disabilities they have to guide their placement.

    Following the process of verification, the TSC Sub-County Director will create a Merit List of all candidates whose documents have been confirmed.

    The TSC states that the Merit Lists will be accessible to the public upon request, ensuring that this does not compromise the recruitment process and fully complies with the Data Protection Act, 2019.

    REPLACEMENT OF EDUCATORS WHO HAVE LEFT THEIR POSITIONS IN PUBLIC PRIMARY, JUNIOR, AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS – MAY, 2025

    The Teachers Service Commission is announcing 2,014 job openings to fill positions left by teachers who have left their roles due to natural causes, such as retirement. There are 1,309 positions available for primary schools, 32 positions for junior schools, and 673 positions for secondary schools. The teachers hired will work under permanent and pensionable employment conditions.

    Qualification

    To be eligible for recruitment, a candidate must satisfy the following basic criteria:

    i) Maintain citizenship in Kenya;
    ii) Must possess a holder of

    A diploma in education for junior and secondary schools;
    The individual must be a registered educator with the Teachers Service Commission.

    Method of Application

    Candidates who are interested and meet the qualifications should submit their applications via the Teachers Service Commission’s website, www. tsc. go. ke under the ‘Careers’ section or at teachersonline. tsc. go. ke by no later than midnight on Monday, May 19, 2025.

    The Recruitment Guidelines for the Teachers Service Commission for the 2024/2025 Financial Year will be in effect.

    ii) Candidates who are selected for the next stage must provide original copies of their academic and professional certificates.

    iii) Candidates who are successful should only submit one Application for Employment Form. Submitting two or more Employment Application Forms will result in disqualification.

    IV) Applications submitted manually will not be accepted.

    v) Preference will be given to applicants who have not been employed by the Teachers Service Commission in the past.
