<p>The Open University of Kenya (0UK) is a public university established under section 24(1 (b) of the Universities Act, 2012 and Chartered on 3rd August 2023.</p>
<p>The University aims at providing open, distance, and flexible learning opportunities to Kenyan citizens and beyond.</p>
<p>Please note that OUK learners will benefit from the funding model adopted by Government to finance higher education by being eligible to scholarships and loans.</p>
<h3><strong>Available Courses at the Open University of Kenya (0UK)</strong></h3>
<p>Applications for admission to study at the Open University of Kenya for this year&#8217;s intake are currently on-going for the following undergraduate and postgraduate diploma programmes:</p>
<p>1. Bachelor of Data Science<br />
2.Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics<br />
3.Bachelor of Business and Entrepreneurship<br />
4. Bachelor of Economics and Statistics<br />
5.Bachelor of Technology Education<br />
6.Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Accountability<br />
7.Postgraduate Diploma in Learning Design and Technology</p>
<h3><strong>Minimum Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes at the Open University of Kenya (0UK)</strong></h3>
<ol>
<li>A mean grade grade of C+ and above at KCSE where applicable or its equivalent Or</li>
</ol>
<p>2. Diploma or professional qualification from recognised institutions OR<br />
3. A KCSE certificate or equivalent and a foundational certificate or bridging course from recognised institutions OR<br />
4.Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education with a minimum of One principal and subsidiary pass OR<br />
5.Evidence of KCSE certificate or equivalent and a portfolio for the purpose of Recognition of Prior Learning determination with respect to:<br />
a.Workplace training of 2 years OR<br />
b. Work experience in relevant field of 2 years<br />
c. Two short courses lasting atleast 3 months each in relevant fields OR<br />
6.Any other qualification that may be determined by Senate recognising prior learning leading to equivalent of the identified criteria, experience and skills of a learner OR<br />
7.A Bachelor&#8217;s degree from an institution recognized by Senate.</p>
<h3><strong>Entry Requirements for Postgraduate Diploma Programmes</strong></h3>
<p>• A bachelor&#8217;s degree from an institution recognized by the Commission for University Education (CUE).</p>

<p>The KUCCPS portal is open for placement of students to the Open University of Kenya. <p>Those interested in the bachelors programmes (based on the 2nd to 7th criteria) and postgraduate programmes should apply through https://admissions.ouk.ac.ke</p>
<p>International students from the region as well as abroad are also encouraged to apply<br />
No application fee will be charged for those seeking admission to the Open University of Kenya.</p>
