
Police open investigations after burglars enter St. Jonathan Primary and Secondary Schools
Authorities have initiated an inquiry into a break-in at St. Jonathan Primary and Secondary School located in West Kanyamamba sub-location, Rongo in Migori County.
Local assistant chief George Omuono mentioned that the occurrence led to the loss of multiple items, which included six laptops.
He stated that the intruders accessed the administration block that serves both the primary and secondary sectors.
In addition to the six laptops, the group also removed printed school uniforms, along with a gas cylinder from the primary section, all of which remain unrecovered.
The intruders additionally took a generator and a printer from the secondary section but left those items on the school premises.
“Some form four students who went to check on their agriculture project reported the break-in,” Omuono clarified.
No individuals have been apprehended up to this point, but law enforcement is diligently pursuing investigations.
This event comes on the heels of a comparable theft of eight laptops at Okenge Primary School in Nyatike sub-county, Migori County, merely days prior.
