UNITED DEMOCRATIC ALLIANCE, UDA, GRASSROOT ELECTIONS.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The United Democratic Alliance will hold grassroots elections at the Polling Centre, Ward, Constituency, and County levels, in accordance with articles 16,17,18 and 19 of the party constitution and in accordance with articles 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 of UDA Party Elections regulations.<\/p>\n

Interested members should submit applications on or before set deadline.<\/p>\n

1. The various positions to be contested at each level are;<\/p>\n

ARTICLE 16: THE COUNTY CONGRESS-OFFICIALS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The County Congress comprises Twenty (20) Constituency Committee Members drawn from each Constituency from the County and the elected County leaders of the party in the county. (Governors & Deputy Governors, Senators & Women Reps)<\/p>\n

The County Congress shall elect from among themselves thirteen (13) officials and seven (7) other members (at least 3 from either gender) to constitute the County Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

  1. Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson (One (1) from each gender);<\/li>\n
  2. Secretary and Deputy Secretary (One (1) from each gender);<\/li>\n
  3. Treasurer;<\/li>\n
  4. Representative of the religious groups;<\/li>\n
  5. \u00a0Representative of professional groups.<\/li>\n
  6. Seven (7) members (at least Three (3) from either gender)<\/li>\n
  7. Organizing Secretary;<\/li>\n
  8. Representative of Youth;<\/li>\n
  9. Representative of Women;<\/li>\n
  10. Representative of Persons with Disability;<\/li>\n
  11. Representative of MSMEs;<\/li>\n
  12. Representative of farmers;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    ARTICLE 17: CONSTITUENCY CONGRESS – OFFICIALS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The Constituency Congress comprises the Twenty (20) ward Committee members from each Ward and the elected leaders of the party in the constituency (Member(s) of the National Assembly.)<\/p>\n

    The Constituency Congress shall elect from among themselves thirteen (13) officials and seven (7) other members (at least 3 from either gender).<\/p>\n

    2. Secretary and Deputy Secretary (1 from either gender);<\/li>\n
    3. Treasurer;<\/li>\n
    4. Organizing Secretary;<\/li>\n

    6. Representative of Women;<\/li>\n
    7. Representative of Persons with Disability;<\/li>\n
    8. Representative of MSMEs;<\/li>\n
    9. Representative of farmers;<\/li>\n
    10. Representative of the religious groups;<\/li>\n
    11. Representative of professional groups;<\/li>\n
    12. Seven (7) members (at least 3 from either gender)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      ARTICLE 18: THE WARD CONGRESS-OFFICIALS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      The Ward Congress comprises Twenty (20) polling Centre Committee members from each polling Centre in the ward and the elected leaders of the party in the Ward. (MCA)<\/p>\n

      The Ward Congress shall elect from among themselves thirteen (13) officials and seven (7) other members (at least 3 from either gender) to constitute the Ward Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

      1. Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson (1 from either gender);<\/li>\n
      2. Secretary and Deputy Secretary (1 from either gender);<\/li>\n
      3. Treasurer;<\/li>\n
      4. Organizing Secretary;<\/li>\n
      5. \u00a0Representative of Youth;<\/li>\n
      6. Representative of Women;<\/li>\n
      7. Representative of Persons with Disability;<\/li>\n
      8. Representative of MSMEs;<\/li>\n
      9. Representative of farmers;<\/li>\n
      10. Representative of the religious groups;<\/li>\n
      11. Representative of professional groups;<\/li>\n
      12. Seven (7) other members (at least 3 from either gender)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        ARTICLE 19: POLLING CENTRE MEMBERS COMMITTEE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

        The polling Centre Committee shall be elected by all the party members at the polling Centre and shall comprise the following categories;<\/p>\n

        1. Three (3) members representing the religious groups (At least one (1) from either gender);
        \n2. Four (4) members representing Micro, Small, Medium as well as large enterprises\/traders (Two (2) from each gender);
        \n3. Three (3) members representing the Professional groups (At least one (1) from either gender);
        \n4. Four (4) members representing the Youth (Two (2) from each gender);
        \n5. Three (3) members representing various categories of farmers; (At least one (1) from either gender).
        \n6.One (1) member representing Special Interest Groups.
        \n7. Two (2) other Members. (One (1) from each Gender.)<\/p>\n

        The twenty (20) polling Centre members shall elect from among themselves Thirteen (13) officials who shall form the Polling Centre Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

          2. APPLICATION REGISTRATION PROCESS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

          The application process will done online via httpss\/\/app.uda.ke\/grassroot or httpssuda.ke<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Registration Guide<\/p>\n

          A structured guide is provided on the application portal.<\/p>\n

          Selection of Election Level:<\/p>\n

          Candidates should select the desired election level. Note: The default level is the Polling Centre.<\/p>\n

          Verification of Details:<\/p>\n

          Prior to progressing, candidates must confirm the accuracy of the provided personal Payment Completion:<\/p>\n

          After verifying personal details, candidates must process their payment. The fee varies based on the election level chosen.<\/p>\n

          Confirmation via OTP.<\/p>\n

          Candidates will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) for verification. Ensure that the phone number provided is accurate to receive this OTP.<\/p>\n

          All county officials must be life members of the party before assuming office.<\/p>\n

          4. ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n

          All candidates:<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Must be fully paid up members.<\/li>\n
          • Must apply through the UDA Election Portal.<\/li>\n
          • Must have paid the relevant fees.<\/li>\n
          • Must have their names on the register of members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Additional requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

            For Ward: Should either have been elected at the polling Centre or be a sitting MCA.<\/p>\n

            For Constituency: Should either have been elected at the ward or be a sitting Member of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n

            For County: Should either have been elected at the constituency or be a sitting Governor,
            \nDeputy Governor, Senator, or Woman Representative.<\/p>\n

            Note: Aspiring candidates for County, Constituency, and Ward roles must commence their election at the Polling Centre.<\/p>\n

            5. VOTING PROCEDURE FOR PARTY ELECTIONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

            The returning officer will enter your ID no. for verification. Once verified, you vote, select
            \nyour prefered candidate, and click the VOTE button.<\/p>\n

            Confirm Your Selection by Clicking’Confirm Vote’ Proceed to the Next Election and Cast Your Vote.<\/p>\n

            After Voting in All Elections, a summary of your choice will appear and you Confirm Your Votes<\/p>\n
