According to the Commission, the minimum qualification for entry into teaching in Kenya at all levels (including primary schools) be a Diploma in Education.<\/p>\n<p>These new recommendations by TSC are geared towards realigning of the teachers as per the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).<\/p>\n<p>In the latest TSC recommendations, the Diploma in Education courses for CBC students at each level shall be three (3) years after 844 and senior school since they will have had time for specialization in the content areas.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Primary school teacher levels<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Effectively, primary school teachers will fall into two categories, namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (PP1&amp;PP2) and<\/li>\n<li>Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (Grade 1-6 ).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ECDE applicants with certificates from other bodies other than KNEC and MOE should have their certificates equated by KNEC.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You may also like;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/educationnewshub.co.ke\/new-tsc-entry-qualifications-for-teachers-bachelor-of-education-science-and-arts-degrees-to-be-scrapped\/\" rel=\"noopener\">New TSC entry qualifications for teachers (Bachelor of Education Science and Arts Degrees to be scrapped)<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/educationnewshub.co.ke\/secondary-school-teachers-new-tsc-registration-requirements\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Secondary School Teachers New TSC Registration Requirements<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><b>Entry Qualification for Teacher Registration: <\/b><b>Current &amp;
