The advertised posts include 1038 for Primary schools and 957 for Secondary schools.</div>

<p>The internship programme will last for one year and is meant to equip and sustain competencies of persons entering the service. The programme is targeting the unemployed registered teachers and they will be assigned to various institutions to perform there duties as per the Commission.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Requirements for applicants</strong></span></h2>
<p>1.Be a kenyan citizen</p>
<p>2.Be a registered teacher with Teachers Service Commission</p>
<p>3.Be a holder of a P1 Certificate for Primary school teachers and a minimum of a Diploma in Education Certificate for Secondary school teachers.</p>
<p>4.Have a original academic and professional certificates.</p>
<p>5.Should not have been in previous employment with the TSC as a teacher on permanent terms.</p>
<p>6. Be ready to be posted to any public educational institution in Kenya.</p>
<p>7. Must have a personal Accident Insurance to cover for Personal risks during the internship period .</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">In addition, successful applicants shall be required to produce;</span></strong></p>
<p>1. A copy of the National Identity Card or passport</p>
<p>2.A copy of the teacher Registration Certificate/print out for the TSC online</p>
<p>3. A copy of National Council for Persons with Disability(NCPWD) card ,where applicable.</p>
<p>4. A valid Certificate of good conduct</p>
<p>5.Two (2) coloured passport size photographs.</p>
<p>6.A copy of National Health Insurance Fund(NHIF)card.</p>
<p>7. A copy of Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN)</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Internship Duration</strong></span></h3>
<p>The Internship period will be 12 months.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>MONTHLY STIPEND </strong></span></h3>
<p>This is not a remunerative engagement, However, teacher interns attached to primary Schools will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Kshs. 15000/=</p>
<p>While those who will be attached to Secondary schools will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Kshs.20000/=</p>
<p>The stipend will be paid subject to statutory deductions, where applicable .</p>
<p>On successful completion of the internship program, teacher interns will be awarded a certificate.</p>
