<p>The Founding of Sigalagala.</p> 
<p>Sigalagala National Polytechnic (SNP) is a public managed national polytechnic that was founded in 1950 as a technical and vocational training institute. Sigalagala National Polytechnic (SNP) started in 1950 as Nyanza technical and trade school on a thirty-three-acre piece of land. It inherited land and buildings from the British gold miners who had been operating there since 1930s. It became a National Polytechnic school in 1967 offering ordinary level technical competencies and programmes including Kenya Certificate of Education K.C.E until all schools were turned into technical training institutes in the late 1980s.</p> 
<p>The institution currently has been upgraded and offers knec and CDACC curriculum.</p>

Orphans, single-parent students and other deserving students will be given priority.<br /><strong>Application Requirements:</strong><br />1.Admission letter from the institution.<br />2.National Identification Card.<br />3.Applicants should access and fill the relevant TVET Loan and Bursary Application Form (TLAF).<br />4.Print TWO copies of the duly filled Loan Application Form.<br />5.Have the TVET Loan Application Form signed and stamped by the Dean of Students/Financial Aid Officers.<br />Retain one copy of the duly filled TLAF (Mandatory).<br />Drop the TLAF personally at the HELB students Service Centre on the Mezannine One, Anniversary Towers or any of the SELECT Huduma Centers nearest to you.</p>
