Knec Core Functions

KNEC’s mandate is established under the KNEC Act No. 29 of 2012 and covers the entire cycle of national assessment:

Knec’s Function Category Specific Activities performed by Knec.
Examinations Setting and maintaining examination standards, moderating, administering, and marking academic, technical, and other national examinations at various levels.
Certification Awarding certificates or diplomas to successful candidates and ensuring these are not withheld by any institution.
