According to the list over 2,000 schools, countrywide, are yet to submit their class 8 scores despite the fact that the earlier deadline set for 20th November, 2020, had already elapsed.

“KNEC administered school based learning assessments for Grade Four (4) and Class Eight ( 8) from 26th to 30th October 2020, and schools have been scoring and uploading the scores onto the KNEC Assessment Portal using the correct formats provided by KNEC.” Reads a circular by KNEC Boss Dr. Mercy Karogo that is dated 7th December, 2020.

Karogo says the schools that are yet to upload their scores are derailing the Council’s plans to release the results.

“The Council is planning for data processing, analysis and compilation of reports on the findings of the Grade Four (4) and Class Eight ( 8) assessments from 7th December, 2020. The reports on the findings of the assessment shall be submitted to the Ministry of Education, the Teachers Service Commission( TSC) and disseminated to schools before 18th December, 2020.” Notes Dr. Karogo.

She now asks the affected schools to ensure the data is submitted online as soon as possible.
