KCSE 2024/2025 Results Download- Best Step by Step Guide

Understanding KCSE

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is an essential milestone for students in Kenya, marking the completion of secondary education. This article will explore everything students, parents, and educators need to know about KCSE exams.

Importance of KCSE for Students

KCSE is crucial for students as it determines their eligibility for higher education and vocational training. The results will play a significant role in shaping their future careers.

KCSE Leakage Concerns

With the impending KCSE exams, concerns about exam leakage are prevalent. The KNEC is committed to ensuring the integrity of the examination process by implementing strict security measures. Students should focus on their studies rather than seeking shortcuts.

Understanding the KCSE Grading System

The KCSE grading system will remain consistent with previous years, using a letter grading scale from A to E. Students should aim for a minimum grade of C or higher to qualify for university admission.

How to Check KCSE Results Online and via SMS

After the completion of KCSE, students will be eager to know their results. Here’s how to check KCSE results.

Checking Results Online

To check results online, students can visit the KNEC results checker page on the KNEC website. They will need to enter their index number to access their scores and grades promptly. This online method provides a quick and efficient way to stay updated on their performance.

Checking Results via SMS

Students can also check their KCSE 2024 results via SMS. To do this, they should send their index number to 20076. The results will be sent directly to their mobile phones, making it a convenient option for many.

KNEC KCSE Results Checker

The KNEC KCSE Results Checker allows students to access their results online easily. By entering their index number, candidates can view their scores and grades promptly, making the results-checking process efficient and straightforward.

Career Pathways After KCSE

Once students receive their KCSE 2024 results, they should consider various career pathways. Options include university education, technical training, and vocational courses. Researching potential career paths will help students make informed decisions.

Conclusion: Embracing the KCSE Journey

KCSE 2024 is not just an exam; it’s a journey that shapes the future of many students. With the right preparation, support, and mindset, students can navigate this important milestone successfully.

School chases away 10 KCSE Candidates

A school in Meru is on the spot after reportedly barring ten of its candidates from sitting this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE).

The learners from Matewa Day Secondary School in Tigania Central were reportedly sent away on exam day for various reasons including fee arrears and pregnancy. One candidate who was pregnant reported being denied access to the exam room.

“When she went to school on exam day, she was sent away. Why should she be denied access to the exam room yet she was registered?” asked, Joseph Muketha, the girl’s father.

The girl is reportedly among the four learners at the school who were pregnant.

Another parent, Ms Penina Karimi, said her son was sent home over fees arrears.

“I have been struggling to pay fees for my son. He has not been in school due to health issues and lack of fees. The teacher said he cannot sit for his exams because he has been absent,” Ms. Karimi said.

Two other parents, Mr Amedeo Kimathi and Mr Patrick Kaugiria, also said their children were sent away from school over school fees balances.

“My child was sent home in September but I could not raise the school fees. My daughter became pregnant while at home. She was denied access to the exam room because I owe the school Sh10, 000,” Kaugiria said.

Other parents have alleged that the school was not keen on having candidates who have not been in class in recent months as it feared they may negatively affect the institution’s performance in this year’s KCSE.

Meru County Commissioner Fred Ndunga said the school is being investigated for going against government policy requiring that every learner be registered for national exams.

“I have instructed the DCI and the Ministry of Education to get to the root of the problem. The government’s position is that every candidate must write their exams. This is why we go as far as delivering papers to hospitals and prisons. The only excuse admissible is if the candidate is critically ill,” Ndunga said.

Efforts to get a comment from the school administration on the move to bar the students from doing their exams were futile.

Then, they’ll select three subject combinations within that pathway and finally, choose four schools for each combination, totaling 12 schools. To select preferred Grade 10 Schools and Subject Combinations, use the Ministry of Education portal selection.education.go.ke.

  • Confirm your choice to proceed with the pathway.

  • Choose three subject combinations that align with your interests and strengths.

3. Select Preferred Senior Schools:

  • For each subject combination, select four schools from the available clusters.

Pwani University KUCCPS Approved Courses, Admissions, Intakes, Requirements, Students Portal, Location and Contacts

Universities are the highest learning institutions in Kenya and the World over. They offer training majorly in undegraduate and Post Graduate Studies. In Kenya, the Courses offered in the Universities must be accredited by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services, KUCCPS. It is the same body that selects and places students to higher learning institutions; Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics. To qualify for University placement one must attain the minimum set Mean grade and particular course requirements. Each Course offered at particular university has its own cluster cut off points, though. Most university courses take a minimum of 4 years; while, some take even more. An academic year at the university takes two semesters of three months each. University students get fees loans from various organizations. Top on the list is the Higher Education Loans Board, HELB, that advances both loans and Bursaries. Universities run online platforms; portals and websites, where such services as admission application, online accommodation booking, E-learning, exams results downloads and many are provided to students, staff and the general public. On admissions, most universities have admissions in May and September for new students. Various learning modules are provided at the universities. These learning modules include: Full time, School Based, Distance Learning, Evening & Weekend classes and E-Learning.

KANGARU GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL’S BRIEF HISTORY

The school began in 1947 as an intermediate school for gilrs boarding. In 1962, the school attained High school status and was named Embu Girls Secondary school headed by Dauford and later M/s P.Mulcahy Morgan. In the immediate neighborhood was Kangaru School-Boys secondary school.

It was noted that the girl’s school was developing progressively parallel numerically in physical structures but the academic level lagged behind the boys. It was then thought prudent to amalgamate the two school and create an environment of positive boys/girls competition forward push support and in every way challenge the better performance for all students. July 1973 brought about the amalgamation of the Embu girls and Kangaru School headed by one principal and two deputy principals.

After about ten years of prosperous merger, cracks of negativity began to show up in several forms including indiscipline, falling academic standards, unmanageability of the giant institution and the penetration of negative politics.

In November 1989, the two schools split to form Kangaru Girls and Kangaru Girls Secondary Schools. Today, Kangaru Girls School is a three-streamed Ex-Provincial/County Secondary School.

Education CS urges KNUT and TSC to drop hard-line stands

Education Cabinet Secretary, Amb. Amina Mohammed, has urged both the Kenya National Union of Teachers, KNUT, and the Teachers Service Commission, TSC, to drop hardline stands and negotiate to solve industrial disputes in the sector. Speaking to journalists in Nairobi, today, Amina urged both parties to embrace dialogue and avoid taking hardline stands.

“There is a negotiation that is ongoing. It is constructed on a conditional dialogue. We all have to learn to have discussions in peace. We must learn to compromise,” the CS said.

While advising that in negotiations it is a give and take scenario, Amb. Amina told both parties that it was in bad faith if any one party wanted all its demands met. “No one can walk away from a negotiation table with everything they wanted; then it is not a negotiation, it is basically a dictatorship,” added Amina.

This advice is coming as both the KNUT and TSC continue pointing accusing fingers at each other over the aborted Naivasha talks. The TSC claims that the KNUT leadership came into the meeting with a list of 85 teachers whose transfers they wanted revoked immediately, by the employer.

Speking to the media on Thursday, KNUT secretary general, Hon. Wilson Sossion, warned of dire consequences if the TSC does not come up with solutions to the contentious issues, in 2 weeks’ time. Immediate stoppage of the delocalization of teachers, scrapping of the Teacher Performance contracting & evaluation and promotion of teachers upon attainment of higher qualifications are among the issues fronted by KNUT for discussion.
