Venue for this year’s Mashujaa day celebrations announced

This year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations will be held at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County, Kakamega town Western region. This was confirmed, today, by Dr. Karanja Kibicho, the Principal Secretary State Department of Interior and Coordination of National Government.

The newly refurbished Bukhungu Stadium was unveiled officially during the 2017 Jamhuri Day celebrations presided over by Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

This year’s Jamhuri day celebrations will be led by the head of state, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, on 20/10/2018.

Yesterday, the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Interior and National Coordination, Dr. Fred Matiang’i, affirmed that Kenyans will tomorrow, 10 Wednesday 2018, be on a public holiday. The CS did not, however, state how tomorrow’s Moi day celebrations will be conducted.
